Sean Mitchell

Sean Mitchell’s fascination with creating images started young. An avid still photographer, he built his own darkroom by age eleven. Upon graduating from college, he spent two years working with renowned cinematographer, Allen Daviau, ASC, before embarking on his own as a director of photography.

While teaching at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Sean also worked in visual effects with legendary stop motion animator and visual effects supervisor, Phil Tippett.

More recently, Sean focused his attention on a study of story, writing, and acting. His screenplay,
THE LAST DUEL IN SCOTLAND, was honored as a top ten finalist in the American Zoetrope Screenwriting Contest. Sean has just finished a short film he wrote and directed called WITNESS 11.
Sean graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography.
